  I had a bit of a weird experience at the Marathon at Michigan ave and Elizabeth earlier. I'm just wondering if this is basic protocol or if I was a victim of a scam. I went in to pay for gas and a few other items. Total came to $36.55. ($30.00 in gas) I swipe my card and as soon as its approved the guy behind the counter says, " oh, I pushed premium." So I let him know that I would be needing unleaded. He proceeds to tell me I would have to swipe my card again and that he will have to call Marathon tomorrow for a refund that will go back on my card. I was in a hurry and said ok. He allowed me to take my items and told me I would only get $30.00 back on my card. (Which makes sense) I asked for a receipt and he couldn't produce one for the $36.55 purchase. Only the $30.00 purchase (from the 2nd swipe.) He never took any of my info down. Now Im not familiar with the refund process with this company. So I'm wondering..is this normal?
